Telia Lietuva, AB, recently made a significant investment in the 1,500 MHz frequency band by acquiring two blocks for nearly EUR 10 million. This made them the top investor in the band during the auction held by the Communications Regulatory Authority. The Company secured the largest portion of frequencies available, totaling 40 MHz, which will be utilized to enhance the 5G network infrastructure. Additionally, Telia Lietuva successfully extended their rights to the 2,100 MHz frequency band through a separate auction, agreeing to an additional payment of EUR 2 million to the state for this privilege.
