KBC Group has appointed Kris Vervaet as the new Chief Information Officer and member of the Executive Committee, pending approval from the European Central Bank and the National Bank of Belgium. Vervaet will officially begin his role on September 1, working alongside Erik Luts for a seamless transition. Luts, who has played a significant role in KBC's digital transformation, will retire on August 31 after a successful career with the company.
