In Montréal today, EVLO Energy Storage Inc. revealed the successful commissioning of an energy storage system in American Samoa comprising 4 megawatts (MW) and 8 megawatt-hours (MWh) with a 2-hour duration. This milestone marks the completion of the initial project out of three in the region. EVLO, a subsidiary of Hydro-Québec, collaborated with Eastern Power Solutions (EPS), a solar energy service provider, for these solar-plus-storage projects. The initiatives aim to bolster the American Samoa Power Authority (ASPA).
