In Maui, Hawaii, Governor Josh Green revealed that Hawai'i is leading as the first state in the US to guarantee each eligible foster care child, aged from newborn to 17, with a fully funded, tax-advantaged savings and investment account. With support from the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation and Ed Freedman’s Stable Road Foundation, Hawai'i has obtained funding for every qualified foster child, eradicating the existing deficit in support. This advanced program marks a significant development as the nation prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary.
