In Vancouver, British Columbia, flight attendants at Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge have overwhelmingly rejected the company's wage offer by a margin of 99.1%. The voter turnout for the decision was reported at an impressive 99.4%. Despite the proposed raise, the current wages offered to Air Canada flight attendants fall below the federal minimum wage set at $17.75 per hour or $2,840 per month based on a 40-hour workweek. Comparatively, a full-time Rouge flight attendant would earn $2,219 per month, while a full-time mainline flight attendant would be compensated similarly.
