In Walpole, New Hampshire, the U.S. Plastics Pact (USPP) revealed the findings and future direction of the Reuse in Retail Initiative (RRI) in a recent report. Titled "Reuse in Retail Initiative (RRI) Scoping Phase: What We Learned and Where We are Going Next," the document outlines the program's upcoming focus areas, such as product category, reuse models, and target regions. Launched in 2025, the RRI is a joint effort between USPP, Upstream, and WRAP designed to promote the transition to reusable packaging systems. Key policy strategies to enhance consumer-facing reuse in retail settings will also be employed to drive growth in this sector.
