The U.S. population growth is forecasted to decline faster due to President Donald Trump's immigration policies, resulting in more deaths than births from 2031, two years earlier than projected. The Congressional Budget Office attributes this to reduced immigration and fertility rates caused by Trump's 2025 reconciliation act, which allocates $170 billion for immigration and border enforcement, including $29.9 billion for ICE operations and the hiring of 10,000 officers. The CBO estimates around 290,000 immigrants will be removed from the country between 2026 and 2029, with about 50,000 immigrants detained daily during this period, significantly impacting the labor force.
