In Halifax, NS, employers of long term care workers from Admiral and White Hills Long Term Care Centres, and Bay Side Home have pushed hundreds of employees back on strike this week over unresolved local matters, despite a tentative agreement reached on June 6. The workers are represented by Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) 1259 and CUPE 2007. These workers had temporarily halted their strike following the tentative agreement at the main bargaining table with the belief that any outstanding issues would be addressed.
