In San Jose, California, Omni Ventures, a venture capital firm specializing in manufacturing technology, has successfully closed its Fund I at an oversubscribed amount of $33 million. The fund aims to support startups at the forefront of digitizing manufacturing technology. General partners Simon Lancaster and Sabrina Paseman, both previously Apple product and manufacturing engineers, are leading the initiative. Omni Ventures plans to invest between $700,000 to $1 million in pre-seed startups focused on developing software, artificial intelligence, robotics, automation, and connected industrial systems.
