Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas recently expressed his belief that Bitcoin is his preferred financial asset due to the global debasement of fiat currencies. He advised investors to view cryptocurrency as long-term property rather than a short-term trade. In a CoinDesk interview on June 17, Salinas disclosed that his exposure to Bitcoin has increased despite a 40% drop in BTC prices over the past year. He stated, "As soon as I get my hands on some fiat, I turn it into Bitcoin." Salinas clarified that his wealth heavily allocated to Bitcoin primarily applies to his liquid financial portfolio, which constitutes about 80% of his investments. This portfolio does not encompass his total net worth, which includes businesses, homes, boats, planes, and other real assets.
