A recent study revealed that over 65% of adults aged 18-65 in the US have experienced some form of online harassment, with women being targeted at a higher rate than men. The research also showed that nearly 40% of those surveyed faced severe types of online abuse, such as cyberstalking, physical threats, sexual harassment, or sustained harassment. Additionally, around 80% of respondents believe online platforms should do more to address and prevent this issue. The study had a sample size of 1500 adults across the country, making it a significant representation of the current online harassment landscape.
