On July 3, 2026, Skanska announced they secured a deal with aluminum manufacturer Hydro to build a new aluminum wire rod production plant in Karmøy, Norway. The contract is valued at around NOK 1.1 billion, equivalent to approximately SEK 1.0 billion. This project will be part of Skanska's Nordic portfolio.
