Louvain-La-Neuve, Belgium, June 30, 2026 – IBA, a global leader in particle accelerator technology and proton therapy solutions for cancer treatment, has confirmed a new contract with Instituto Português de Oncologia do Porto FG, EPE (IPO-Porto). The agreement involves the installation of two Proteus ® ONE compact proton therapy solutions at IPO-Porto in Porto, Portugal. These cutting-edge systems mark Portugal's first venture into proton therapy and will operate as the National Proton Therapy Center, offering advanced cancer treatment to patients.
