In Los Angeles, starting September 1st, the Metropolitan Water District is doubling its financial support for Southern California businesses, schools, HOAs, and other institutions that switch from water-intensive grass to eco-friendly landscaping. The turf replacement rebate for non-residential properties is being raised to $7 per square foot of grass removed, the highest amount in the region. This increase aims to incentivize more sustainable practices and help in conserving water resources.
