Antares, an advanced nuclear energy company based in Idaho Falls, has recently obtained approval from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for the Documented Safety Analysis of its Mark-0 reactor. This approval, in accordance with DOE standard 1271, comes after Antares previously received approval for its Preliminary Documented Safety Analysis in January 2026. This signifies a significant milestone as the DOE has accepted the final design of the Mark-0 reactor along with its safety case. Antares will now progress into the DOE Readiness Review stage, the concluding phase in this process, marking a crucial step forward for the company.
